All of the air fryers we tested have a pan and basket with a nonstick coating; you should avoid using metal cooking utensils or abrasive sponges, which could damage the surface. Though most manufacturers say you can wash the pan and basket in a dishwasher, we don’t recommend it. Washing the pieces by hand using hot water and dish soap will help the nonstick coating last longer.

“Finally bought one of these and have not regretted since. One of the best kitchen tools on my countertop. Easy to use, easy to clean, and the best thing are all the healthy foods. No more greasy French fries. One of the nice features of this fryer is that the basket is quite large compared to the other brands I was looking at. It will easily hold enough fries for three to four people to eat. I’ve been experimenting with food items I thought I would never fry. Just add one to two teaspoons of olive oil, add the items, timer for 20 minutes, and you’re done. I’ve done eggs, wings, fries that you would ‘normally’ fry. But I’ve also done egg noodles (like pan-fried noodles in Chinese restaurants). I tried deep-fried Twinkies even. Didn’t come out exactly like the deep-fried Twinkies from the fairs, but it wasn’t horrible either. Overall, my family enjoys having this fryer. It really is a good way to make the normally unhealthy fried foods less unhealthy.”
You don’t want to overcrowd the airfryer so it’s not great for large batch cooking. For meats, I found that you really want to keep everything in 1 layer to get the most golden results. This meant I could only fit in 4 drumsticks or 5 chicken tenders. If I was cooking for a crowd, I honestly would have just baked or broiled in an oven on big sheet pans
Easy to use. Air fryers have a very simple functionality and you may only need to press 2-3 buttons to start cooking. Some devices come with preset programs, so if you aren’t sure of the temperature or cooking time required, just press the button for the dish you are cooking just like when using a microwave (press French fries button when making fries, etc.).
