There are so many things you can make in an air fryer, in fact, the possibilities are endless. I know my kid’s would love these Air Fryer Chicken Nuggets. And who wouldn’t love a batch of these Air Fryer Spicy Sweet Potato Fries? And who would have thought Air Fryer Roasted Corn would turn out so perfect.  And holy wow these Copycat Taco Bell Air Fryer Crunch Wraps sound over the top. But these Air Fryer Reuben Egg Rolls also sound crazy addictive.
The Avance didn’t outperform our top pick with homemade fries, but it was still significantly better than our other air fryers, which either overcooked the fries or didn’t brown them enough to have much of any texture or taste. The Avance aced our chicken strip testing, with one saying they would even order them in a restaurant. We also appreciated the fact that we didn’t have to stir the strips at all during cooking: They came out perfectly crispy on the outside, yet tender on the inside.

Notes: One of the beauties of the air fryer is that it's so easy to pop something back in for a minute if you want it cooked longer. You can also open it while it's cooking to make sure it's not overdone. I always set my timer for a little less so I can check on how things are coming along so I don't overcook an item. Things cook so fast sometimes a minute more is all it needs.

I purchased Power Air Fryer Elite from the TV commercial. I thought you could cook foods by the selection, I was wrong. You have to set the machine up for every item, and it did not cook any faster than my built-in oven. Also, the meats that I cooked in it came out a little dry. I decided to dehydrate some fruit, and it took all day. I own a dehydrator, so I was not impressed.
"When you deep fry okra it gets greasy and slimy. When you bake it it gets soggy and slimy. But when you air fry it, it kind of dehydrates it a little bit. The heat gets through the skin of the okra to crisp it up a bit and take away a lot of the sliminess." In the book, there's a recipe for charred okra with a peanut chile sauce, which gives the appealing crispy texture of that southern favorite covered in cornmeal breading and deep fried, with only a little oil and some salt and pepper.
- Frozen Foods - From my experience this is one area where it really shines. Air fryers definitely cook more quickly than conventional ovens; on average, they cook about 20% faster, simply because of the way the hot air is compressed inside the fryer. That doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll cook more quickly than every other method of cooking available, but you’ll definitely cut down on cooking time with an air fryer as opposed to your huge, hot oven.
Bear in mind I have only used the product once - to fry sausage patties. Frying using three racks really saves a lot of time vs. Skillet frying. I think the unit has a lot of potential that is why I bought it. First thoughts, I wish there were more cooking ideas. Second, forget using an oven mitt. There is not enough room with the mitt to grasp the frying trays. I used a pot holder without any problem. Also removing the drip pan without spilling is slightly tedious. Finally, in frying multiple layers of food ( sausage for example ) remember the grease from the upper levels will simply drip down on the lower levels. Keep that in mind. Otherwise I look forward to do more with this unit.
I bought this in February, 2018 and have used it less than 10 times. I was cooking chicken breasts on the wire racks last night and it turned off in the middle. I finished the chicken in my regular oven and let the airfryer cool down. It still wouldn't turn back on after cooling down. No lights/power or anything. I called Tristar's customer service this morning and was told that it's guaranteed for only 60 days. I wish I would have seen these reviews before I wasted my money.
Prepare the chicken like you would traditionally. Preheat the air fryer for 10 minutes at 200 degrees. Sprinkle the chicken with seasoning, pass it through white flour, a bowl of battered eggs, then back to the flower again. Place it in the air fryer basket and set the timer on for 30 minutes. Cook at a temperature of 350 degrees. Flip after 30 minutes or until the outside has reached a golden-brown color and then wait 20 minutes for the other side to cook.

I bought my Power Air Fryer Oven the end of September. I didn't use it right away, but when I finally did, it worked fair. I figured I needed to get used to using it. Yesterday I decided to dehydrate some fruit. I put it in the oven, pushed the dehydrate setting - 8 hours later you couldn't even tell it had been in the dehydrate. I removed the fruit and decided to make some fries. I shut off the machine and turned it back on using the french fry setting. No blower, turned it off and unplugged it for a few minutes. I tried again and again, no blower. I would guess I haven't even used it ten times.

What is the sat fat in this recipe? To correctly calculate the Smart Points the saturated fat grams are necessary.  You do not show 0 g for sat fat (as you do in some other recipes) but there are several types of cheese & oil in the recipe. It looks like it was missed. If there is indeed 0 g sat fat per serving, it would be helpful if you showed 0 g sat fat.  As it is now, I need to put the whole recipe through WW Recipe Builder to verify the Smart Points value.
I had almost written off fried chickpeas as something that will never actually be good—that is, until I cooked them in the air fryer. The absence of the oil needed in the oven, deep-fat fryer, or skillet actually helps them get crispier because the air fryer’s heat dries out the exterior, while what little oil gets used has a chance to imbue the beans with a beautiful golden brown color. For a price hovering around $100, you definitely get what you pay for.  The accessories are fairly limited but the cooking experience is one of the best we’ve seen, and at the end of the day, that’s the most important factor.  Compared to the following mentioned Phillips model, it’s more than 3 times cheaper and offers the same, if not better cooking ability.  For this reason it deserves to be the best air fryer we have reviewed thus far.
We started by compiling a list of popular brand names and models, drawing from retailer websites and online best-of sources. First and foremost, we were looking for products that were ETL certified. This certification shows that the product has been tested and approved in accordance with national safety standards determined by the US Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration and is safe for home use. There’s no one way to tell if something is good for you or not. A certain amount of fat is important for your body to keep functioning properly, and just eating fried foods now and then definitely won’t have a negative impact on your health by itself. However, air fryers let you cook a much larger array of food, and they let you cook these foods simply and easily. Being able to cook more food more simply will definitely lower your stress levels, and there’s strong evidence that being more comfortable while eating lets you absorb more of the nutrients from it! It’s a win all around.
My husband really liked this, but like some others, I also had trouble with it not being cooked through. Not your fault — I suspect the problem is that I had thick chicken breasts, so when I sliced them through lengthwise, they were thicker than yours were. Maybe it would be worthwhile to guess how thick yours are, and put that number in so that people can know they should pound theirs down a bit if they’re thicker?
CR’s take: The least expensive model in our tests, the Bella Hot Air Fryer 14538 has a capacity of only 2.5 quarts and has no preprogrammed settings. Its mechanical controls are easy to set and read, earning it a rating of Very Good in this test, but you’ll hear the appliance’s fan and the tick of its timer. The Bella is easy to clean, and the two-year warranty is generous, given the relatively low price.
Not at all happy with this product. The first use for battered shrimp proved to be successul but each use since has been a disaster. It takes 30 minutes to heat to semi crisp a precooked hamburger. Testing the temp, it appears to never reach the set temp. When I called customer service they had no solution but to contact Amazon which I will be doing with a return item request.
