- Frozen Foods - From my experience this is one area where it really shines. Instead of limp or soggy reheated frozen foods from the microwave, the Air Fryer can reheat just about anything I've thrown at it from frozen fish fillets to onion rings or corn dogs, and everything is crispy or crunchy as if fried in oil, but it's not, which makes it so much healthier.

In addition to the T-Fal’s heating technology, its unique self-stirrer made a huge difference. Unlike the other models that required us to take the basket out and shake every few minutes, we were able to leave the T-fal alone for the allotted cook time and carry on with our day. It was a win-win for convenience: We were spared an arm workout, and we didn’t have to babysit our air fryer. And at the end of it all, the T-fal still cooked the most evenly of all our products.

There’s no denying it—the air fryer is awesome. It gives you crispy, salty French fries in a matter of minutes with half the fat and calories you’d expect in a traditional restaurant order or McDonald’s run. And, there’s no comprising on the taste. In fact, you can even add in your own herbs and spices and use out-of-the-box ingredients to shake things up.
The Avance didn’t outperform our top pick with homemade fries, but it was still significantly better than our other air fryers, which either overcooked the fries or didn’t brown them enough to have much of any texture or taste. The Avance aced our chicken strip testing, with one saying they would even order them in a restaurant. We also appreciated the fact that we didn’t have to stir the strips at all during cooking: They came out perfectly crispy on the outside, yet tender on the inside.
Bring a pot of water to boil.  Add the cut red potatoes and cook for no more than 6 minutes.  Immediately remove the potatoes from the water using a strainer and place them on a kitchen towel to cool and to pat dry.  Once the potatoes have cooled to about room temperature (about 15 minutes), ensure they are “dry” then add them to a large bowl along with avocado oil, garlic powder and sea salt and pepper.  Coat the potatoes then add them to an air-fryer basket, preferably in batches, so not to overcrowd the basket which can lead to inadequate “frying.”  Food needs room to breathe.
Despite what their name implies, air fryers are actually mini convection ovens that operate using a circulating fan—located above an electric-coil heating element—that blows hot air around food to cook it. This is the same basic technology found in regular full-size convection ovens or convection toaster ovens. “Air fryers” is a misleading marketing term, since these appliances actually bake food instead of frying it.
“Honestly, I had my doubts. I kept seeing it on TV and decided, Why not, I could always return it. But to my surprise, I can’t imagine life without it! I didn’t expect these results at all! The very first thing I made with them were Buffalo chicken wings. They were so good. Crispy skin, perfectly cooked and much, much healthier than fried wings. I then tried fries, homemade fried chicken, tater tots, spring rolls, bacon, potato chips. The options are endless — and they all turned out perfectly. I even made fried mac-and-cheese bites with some leftover mac and cheese I had. Rolled in flour, then egg and some panko, and they were divine! This is by far one of the best purchases I have ever made.”
- Whole Chicken (6lbs) - I just cooked this last night, and OMH!!! I rinsed the whole chicken and patted dry and then rubbed with a tiny bit of oil and seasoned with Johnny's Seasoning Salt (Google it, you'll be glad you did!) and black pepper. Then place in AirFryer basket breast-side down and cook at 370 for 35 minutes. Then I flipped it over to breast-side up and cooked an additional 30 minutes. When I saw the skin was to my desired crispiness, I covered it with foil and cooked it for another 10 minutes, and then removed the foil and cooked another 5 minutes more. The result was the tastiest and juicy chicken! My kids actually wanted to eat the skin. Note: If the liquid comes up above the fry basket holes, then carefully dump out some of the juice and continue cooking. Also, you'll want to use the silicone trivets under the fry basket to keep it from making contact with the bottom basket.
This air-fryer riff on the Chinese takeout classic saves the day with nearly half the saturated fat of restaurant versions and loads less clean-up than deep frying at home. Air fryer sizes vary (hence the cook time’s wide range); if you have a smaller air fryer, commit to cooking in batches so that there’s plenty of room for the air to circulate and crisp up the chicken.

The marketing materials for the scores of companies that make these hot-air blowers will tell you that they are a great way to cook that cuts down on fat. But good lord, fried is fried, and "air fried" is not that. Better to eat well most of the time then go to your favorite fried chicken place on your birthday, or do it up at home with a couple of liters of canola oil and a Dutch oven. The rare dose of perfection is far better than the consistent drip of mediocrity.
The NuWave Brio air fried more evenly than most from one end of the basket to the other. Also, this machine adds a level of multitasking and ease of use that sets it apart. The Brio can air fry, bake, roast, broil, toast and grill right out of the box, and it has a smart interface and a compact design. Cleaning the wire basket is a little bit of a pain, but the level of crispiness was worth it.
to the person that burned their hands use hot pads!! it's not that hard to figure out. it your racks fell then you did not have them in straight because i tried everything i could think of to get mine to fall and the only way it happened was if it was not in the same line as the other side then it fell. I love this oven fryer and most things you do not have to turn over half way through and they are done and moist because of the 360 degree cooking love love love this air fryer
