Piece of trash. I was so excited to buy this oven, thinking it would be healthier, convenient & faster way to feed our family. The oven on tv isn’t the same version, so we upgraded. Food looked so delicious on tv wrong wrong! I used the rotisserie for a whole chicken but can only have a chicken weighing 4 lbs. To return it you must insure & sent usps or ups $105 later we sent it back. What a rip-off.

Most importantly, it WORKS. Are air fryer fries or chicken tenders identically to their oil-saturated brethren? No. They’re quite as crunchy and certain don’t have that gross but satisfying pop of grease. But they are noticeably crunchier and crispier than anything I’ve ever made in an oven. The air fryer also manages to texturize the outside of the food, while keeping the inside much more M-O-I-S-T than any other cooking method.
What makes the former product better than the traditional ovens? The former appliance is much smaller than the traditional ovens. This makes them an efficient and easy to store option for families. Many people will also tell you that this product gives you tasty and crispy food at a faster speed. It is true! A traditional oven may heat up the food in 10 minutes, but the latter allows you to cook the delicacy in just 6 minutes. Do you see the difference?

It takes a lot of oil to cook eggplant well—and then a lot of paper towels to soak up all the excess so it’s not drowning in grease, thanks to its sponge-like texture. In the air fryer, the high heat of the fan crisps the outside at the same time it almost inflates the insides. The result: a creamy interior and a crunchy exterior. It’s better than in a deep-fat fryer, and you help by saving at least one tree from getting cut down in the process.

It is Air fryer Vs. Convection Oven, and we would give all the credits to the former appliance because it is portable, easy to clean and allows to cook prepare healthy food fast. We live in a world where people are prone to diseases like obesity. Obesity is a deadly disease because it causes other serious health risks such as heart diseases, diabetes, and arthritis. Opt for the modern appliance and reap the benefits! What are you waiting for? Bring home the modern Philips Viva! It is the best you can find in the market!

We started by compiling a list of popular brand names and models, drawing from retailer websites and online best-of sources. First and foremost, we were looking for products that were ETL certified. This certification shows that the product has been tested and approved in accordance with national safety standards determined by the US Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration and is safe for home use. We also looked for fryers that could cook enough food for an average family — roughly 2 pounds.

The air fryer is right on the coattails of the Instant Pot in terms of popularity with home cooks as an appliance that can “do it all.” So, what exactly is an air fryer? It’s essentially a compact convection oven that cooks your food at very high temperatures while circulating the dry air around with a built-in fan. It’s claim to fame is that it drastically reduces the amount of oil used during frying to achieve similarly crispy results. Given that these appliances can be quite pricey, I decided to test one out and see what all the hype was about. I tested with two variations of “fried chicken”— breaded and unbreaded. Both chicken variations were cooked in the air fryer and in a conventional convection oven. I wanted to find out if that hefty price tag was worthwhile, or if you should just stick to the oven.
If money is no object AND you are sure you will use it enough, then buy the Phillips. It’s sturdy, it’s got a few bells and whistles, such as a sliding rack to hold the basket, a preheat feature etc. even though, oddly, it only goes up in 30-degree increments. The bottom basket cleans easily, and the larger grid and higher wattage means even cooking and less need to flip. The larger grid does mean small things fall down. Get it HERE.

If you want to cook for a family, then buy an appliance, which has higher capacity. On the contrary, if you live alone, then the compact device will be okay for you. A healthy body is an extremely important condition for a long life! We can 100% say that eating junk food is an addiction many people just can quit. You can never get enough of it. However, after buying your first air fryer, you will enjoy the cooking process, and your body will feel light in few days. Say “no” to excessive oil and bring home this extremely useful domestic device!
First off Eric is being paid to lie to people. He says in the commercial that you don't have to rotate the racks and you don't have to turn the chicken. Yes you do. When I got my Power Air Fryer Oven it was all scratched up. So I Email customer service they send me another one and it's all scratched inside to. So sent that one back. Asked for compensation for the scratches and they gave me 45.00 that's the max amount they will take off any purchase. Once they take that off it's a finale sale. Tried to get compensation for the false advertising and was told no due to the 45.00 they already took off. WHAT A JOKE. I don't like being lied too. I could have kept my first air fryer worked just as good and was cheaper. Bought this thinking it was better and it's not.

The GoWise 8-in-1 Air Fryer XL 5.9 Qt does very well at air frying and has some nice advantages. In addition to a large capacity, it has digital controls with eight preprogrammed settings (hence the name) and an alarm that you can set to remind you to toss food during cooking. It doesn’t require preheating and the basket is both nonstick coated and dishwasher safe. With your GoWise, you also get a cookbook that provides lots of ideas for air frying. In addition to black and white, you can choose from red and purple housing.
Believe it or not, your air fryer has more than one superpower. In addition to delivering crispiness without loads of fat, it also delivers crunchy roasted broccoli that doesn’t turn that oh-so-unappealing army green color. And what’s broccoli without cheese sauce? This creamy delight is easy to make ahead—just reheat it right before serving, then drizzle away.
Your life will become easier if you choose to purchase a Philips air fryer. You can quickly prepare a meal and then clean up without too much effort. This may be a more expensive choice than some of the rest, but it is definitely worth the investment if you are looking for a top-quality, efficient and versatile model which cooks delicious and healthy food!
The very latest version HD9641/96 is 50% smaller than the original Philips XL Airfryer HD9240/94 model, and offers 1.8lb cooking capacity (1 bag of French fries). It is light, compact, and cooks more quickly, which should serve you perfectly whether cooking for a single person or a small family up to 4 people. The unit is equipped with the new quick control dial and a function to keep your food warm for up to 30 minutes after cooking.

This unit is probably the best on the market for the price. I have been using mine for over a year with great results. I am so happy that I bought 2 more for gifts for my daughters and they love the results. I read a lot of negative comments from others on how the basket goes in when warm and all I can say to them is use common sense and hold the basket up as you slide it in and it slides right into place. I recommend this product to friends all the time.
During a four-day period, I unleashed the machine on all of my fried favorites. Panko-coated shrimp and onion rings were crunchy, albeit lean tasting, an issue remedied by a dipping sauce. “Fried” Brussels sprout leaves were phenomenal with just a whisper of oil. Chicken wings and tofu developed terrific crispy exteriors. My large machine’s five racks allowed for air-frying zucchini sticks and eggplant rounds while roasting slabs of cauliflower at the same time. Pretty efficient multitasking, if you ask me.

Someone told me an excellent suggestion - use Reynolds PARCHMENT PAPER directly under the food to be cooked. If not at your grocer, you can get it on Amazon. No mess to be cleaned up in the fryer; just toss the parchment paper. After cutting off the necessary size of the Reynolds parchment paper, perforate it by poking about a dozen slits/holes with tip of a sharp knife to cook the food evenly. Or you can get 200 9" diameter circular perforated parchment papers for a reasonable price also on Amazon. Philips - take note.
Appears very solidly built. Heats up fast, very quiet. Super easy to clean. Simple controls. Does exactly what I bought it for. The picture is of two Gorton's frozen Grilled Salmon Filets. Turned out flaky, juicy, and nicely browned. I like to re-heat pizza in it, as it doesn't turn out soggy like in the microwave. Quick for heating up fully cooked sausages, as the grease all drips into the bottom pan.
One of the secrets to getting the best results from your air fryer is to coat foods with a dry mixture that cooks up nice and crispy. Here, we’ve used omega-3 rich flaxseeds to add a super-food style crunch to French toast. Thanks to this delicious recipe, you can feel great about treating your kids to these on Saturday morning (they’ll never guess they’re eating a fiber-rich and heart-healthy breakfast!).
The Philips HD9641/96 Airfryer was the best air fryer we tested, but we’re not wild about it—or any other air fryer, for that matter. But of the six models we tested, the Philips HD9641/96 did the best job of cooking food evenly when the basket was filled to capacity. The interface on this model was straightforward and easy to use, too. The Philips HD9641/96 also had the smallest footprint of all the air fryers we tested.
Despite what their name implies, air fryers are actually mini convection ovens that operate using a circulating fan—located above an electric-coil heating element—that blows hot air around food to cook it. This is the same basic technology found in regular full-size convection ovens or convection toaster ovens. “Air fryers” is a misleading marketing term, since these appliances actually bake food instead of frying it.
- Frozen Foods - From my experience this is one area where it really shines. Instead of limp or soggy reheated frozen foods from the microwave, the Air Fryer can reheat just about anything I've thrown at it from frozen fish fillets to onion rings or corn dogs, and everything is crispy or crunchy as if fried in oil, but it's not, which makes it so much healthier.

So how does the air fryer stack up against the others on this list?  Well firstly, it’s a pretty generic design that follows the tried and true formula of two knobs to adjust the temperature and timer and a bottom drawer that houses the mesh basket.  Both of these elements are dishwasher friendly which is a good thing since they are the only components that need cleaning.
If you dislike the texture of quinoa, then you’re correct. It’s crumbly and often mushy, but if you take it one step further and let it cool and toss with just a tablespoon of oil, the air fryer transforms it into a cracklin'-crisp grain that’s ideal as the base of a grain bowl or sprinkled over greens for a crunchy salad topping. Before, you could only achieve that texture by deep-frying, then draining all those grains; now, it only takes an extra 20 minutes while you bring the rest of your meal together and set the table.
“Wow — I love this MultiFry! My first test was to overload it with half-moon-cut potatoes and onion slices for pan-fried potatoes. I was merciless and loaded it up with three pounds of potatoes. Enough for six people. I used about five tablespoons of olive oil and set on four, with the bottom burner on. Forty minutes later, was I ever pleased. Beautiful, crispy bites of potatoes that I could monitor easily through the see-through cover, and the little stir paddle flipped and stirred to perfection while I was busy doing other things, like making ribs in the Instant Pot electric pressure cooker. So next night I made some catfish fillets and shrimp without the paddle. Perfection once again! I own the Power Air Fryer XL, and this outperforms it hands down.”
- Vents very hot air out the back, which I'd forgotten, and one night noticed one of my blinds was drooping and quickly realized it was because I had the fryer too close to the wall. I was able to bend the blind back into shape, well mostly straight anyways. LOL! Now I just make sure I pull the fryer out to the edge of the counter and have had no issues since.

I went to the store and there they were, same brand and everything. I split up the bag, and started one batch in the air fryer, and another in my oven with the convection off, then made a follow-up batch using the convection setting. The air fryer fries were nicely browned and crisp, but a bit hollowed out, seemingly at the expense of some pleasant creaminess inside. The no-convection oven batch was more leathery on the outside, creamy within, and noticeably less browned. The convection oven version landed squarely between the two.
