T-fal may not be as well-known as the likes of Philips or Black and Decker, but the ActiFry has a lot to offer -- namely the fact that it solves the issue of flipping over your food with a built-in paddle that slowly rotates the food while it cooks. That can be pretty hand -- it means you can set your air fryer and then forget about the food until it’s literally ready to eat.

Ideal cooking temperatures are hard to maintain. The secret to successful deep frying is maintaining a proper oil temperature. When cooking oil falls below a certain temperature, the food's internal moisture does not repel the oil as well, resulting in greasy, undercooked food. Simply putting a bag of frozen food into a hot deep fryer will affect the oil temperature, and the heating elements of many deep fryers take a long time to recover from the shock. This is not a concern with superheated cooking methods such as convection or air frying.
This fryer performed very well while it was working. I received it as a Christmas gift and used it up until Monday of this week, when it suddenly shut off. The warranty is only good for 60 days, so knowing I would probably not get any help from their customer service, which I sadly found to be true, I looked up the problem in the manual. Under "Troubleshooting" in the manual it said the fryer probably overheated, to unplug it and let it cool off a while. I did exactly as it said and left it unplugged overnight. The next morning I plugged it back into the outlet and turned it on. It blinked like it was going to work, then it shut off and never started again. It seems that the whole idea of this oven is a great idea, but the company does a very poor job of making it. I think anyone that buys it should be aware of the 60 day warranty, and understand if anything happens after that time,the company will not stand by its product!
In our testing, it didn’t cook food as good as the Phillips XL or Black and Decker air fryers and this was especially the case when it came to fish.  We cooked 3 pieces of salmon fillets and noticed everything was cooked but the sides were not as brown as the top or bottom.  Nevertheless, the majority of food came our crispy and was cooked through.  For the price, it definitely met our expectations.

If you want to cook for a family, then buy an appliance, which has higher capacity. On the contrary, if you live alone, then the compact device will be okay for you. A healthy body is an extremely important condition for a long life! We can 100% say that eating junk food is an addiction many people just can quit. You can never get enough of it. However, after buying your first air fryer, you will enjoy the cooking process, and your body will feel light in few days. Say “no” to excessive oil and bring home this extremely useful domestic device!
Well, needless to say, they got me twice. The first unit I had already paid for, so I just donated it. I thought this one would be different since it has a different body style. I have tried to roast a chicken twice and neither time did it work. The first one cooked on 375, the second was cooked on 400, and the second one it took almost 2 hours until I just stopped and put it in the oven because the dark meat wasn’t done. I was given a 90-day return and of course, they are saying only 60 days, which is not what I was given when I was convinced to try the new model. You would think if they really stood by their product, they would have made an exception since this was my second unit and it has not been a full 90 days. Which means that I am about 15 days past 30 days. And I never got the Walmart gift card for ordering either.

A few months back, I went to a kitchen appliance trade show and was surprised by the large number of manufacturers coming out with air fryers. "Enjoy great tasting fried food"[sic] reads the cover recipe booklet for Philip's new Airfryer XXL, a lovely sounding idea. With their focus on faux fried flavor, an aversion to fat, and an emphasis on convenience in the marketing from almost every manufacturer, the rise of air fryers felt like the second coming of the George Foreman Grill.

Preheat oven to 415 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with nonstick parchment paper. Repeat directions for making sauce and tossing/coating cauliflower. Spread cauliflower evenly on baking sheet. Roast for 40 minutes, turning halfway through, or until cauliflower is tender with dark golden brown edges. Storage directions are the same as above. To reheat, add to a 400 degrees oven for 5 minutes, or until warmed through.


Would not recommend this product. The basket is VERY hard to get in and out. Purchased one and returned it for that reason and got a new one, this one worked for a bit but started having the same problem. Then the outside part of the basket broke off, making it impossible for the unit to turn on without holding the basket in place. Have had for 9 months and the company will not replace the basket outside part and told me I would need to buy another one instead. Very very disappointing.

I bought this in September and finally used it last week. First off, it is very big so you will need ample storage space to hide it away when you are not using it. My first use of this product was to “Fry“ french fries. The fries came out crisp and delicious with no greasy feel. Sure, you can bake fries in the oven but I’ve never had them come out so crisp from an oven.

The Avance didn’t outperform our top pick with homemade fries, but it was still significantly better than our other air fryers, which either overcooked the fries or didn’t brown them enough to have much of any texture or taste. The Avance aced our chicken strip testing, with one saying they would even order them in a restaurant. We also appreciated the fact that we didn’t have to stir the strips at all during cooking: They came out perfectly crispy on the outside, yet tender on the inside.
I have had this product for about 1 week now, and am overall pleased with my purchase. I've read multiple reviews prior to purchasing and knew what I was getting into prior to its arrival, and was able to try a few things out to make my own conclusions. Also there are many more reviews from the UK/Australia, but I use the US version and have cooking times in farenheit etc.

- Whole Chicken (6lbs) - I just cooked this last night, and OMH!!! I rinsed the whole chicken and patted dry and then rubbed with a tiny bit of oil and seasoned with Johnny's Seasoning Salt (Google it, you'll be glad you did!) and black pepper. Then place in AirFryer basket breast-side down and cook at 370 for 35 minutes. Then I flipped it over to breast-side up and cooked an additional 30 minutes. When I saw the skin was to my desired crispiness, I covered it with foil and cooked it for another 10 minutes, and then removed the foil and cooked another 5 minutes more. The result was the tastiest and juicy chicken! My kids actually wanted to eat the skin. Note: If the liquid comes up above the fry basket holes, then carefully dump out some of the juice and continue cooking. Also, you'll want to use the silicone trivets under the fry basket to keep it from making contact with the bottom basket.


Piece of trash. I was so excited to buy this oven, thinking it would be healthier, convenient & faster way to feed our family. The oven on tv isn’t the same version, so we upgraded. Food looked so delicious on tv wrong wrong! I used the rotisserie for a whole chicken but can only have a chicken weighing 4 lbs. To return it you must insure & sent usps or ups $105 later we sent it back. What a rip-off.
This recipe was absolutely delicious!! I just got my air fryer for Christmas and this is one of the first things I have tried.  Not only was it easy but a recipe  I am sure I will go back to many times.  I served it to my husband and son and they both loved it.  I had no left overs so now I need to find another Skinny taste recipe for dinner tonight.
My husband really liked this, but like some others, I also had trouble with it not being cooked through. Not your fault — I suspect the problem is that I had thick chicken breasts, so when I sliced them through lengthwise, they were thicker than yours were. Maybe it would be worthwhile to guess how thick yours are, and put that number in so that people can know they should pound theirs down a bit if they’re thicker?
However, my kitchen just didn’t need another gadget but last week, I was finally convinced. A Nourish student showed off golden egg rolls fried in her airfryer. My husband and I ordered the best fried brussels sprouts from Falasophy in the Fourth Street Market in Santa Ana. And I discovered that Trader Joe’s now sells crinkle cut butternut squash, which clearly were screaming, “Fry me, Jess!”

I LOVE this 8 QT Power Air Fryer Oven! I had the 5.3 QT Power Air Fryer for almost a year and loved it, until the lock that keeps the basket attached to the pan broke. Sadly for me the outer pan landed on my foot with hot chicken wing grease. I wanted to find an Air Fryer that did not have a two piece slide out drawer that I had to be wary of. As soon as I saw this Power Air Fryer Oven I knew I had to try it. No Basket to shake, no handle lock to break. The door opens like a real oven. It even slides up and off to clean. This is one of the best decisions I have made. The oven cooks much more even than the regular air fryers. You can cook much more food either in quantity or variety at once in the oven. You are able to use one or all of the racks. Or you can space them to fit your foods. I have had zero issues with this and feel. It is very easy clean up, I just soak with dish detergent in the sink after I take the food out and by the time dinner is done, they are clean. I simply rinse and dry. No sticking, No scrubbing. I ordered the white to match my kitchen and love it.
