I’ll probably use the timer on my Talking Magic Chef microwave, and can’t use digital beasties sans speech output, so analog is better than good. However, wondering which of the two might have more easily markable dial? Usually either notch outer edge of dial, or if nothing to aim notches at, mark the dials with loc-dots or highmark. Suggestions please?
I ordered the Power Air Fryer Oven on 12-26-17 and it was delivered 1-16-18. Took a long time because of a back order. I used it once and the second time we tried to use it the fan would not blow air. So we packed it up and mailed it back on 1-19-18. I have called twice to find out if our package was received and got no answers just told to call back. We paid for this in full and now we have nothing! This is very upsetting that I can't get any answer and we are out $171.00 with no oven to use.

- Whole Chicken (6lbs) - I just cooked this last night, and OMH!!! I rinsed the whole chicken and patted dry and then rubbed with a tiny bit of oil and seasoned with Johnny's Seasoning Salt (Google it, you'll be glad you did!) and black pepper. Then place in AirFryer basket breast-side down and cook at 370 for 35 minutes. Then I flipped it over to breast-side up and cooked an additional 30 minutes. When I saw the skin was to my desired crispiness, I covered it with foil and cooked it for another 10 minutes, and then removed the foil and cooked another 5 minutes more. The result was the tastiest and juicy chicken! My kids actually wanted to eat the skin. Note: If the liquid comes up above the fry basket holes, then carefully dump out some of the juice and continue cooking. Also, you'll want to use the silicone trivets under the fry basket to keep it from making contact with the bottom basket.
Overall, I think this is a good product and best suited for 1-2 people who are looking for easy ways to cook frozen foods that turn out as good and way less oil compared to deep frying, and would be great for kids who want to eat frozen foods and maintain that high quality crunch. Some foods you cannot substitute for deep frying, and there is a whole range of items of fresh foods that I have not tried yet due to time constraints. However, the price point remains high for this product, and think that it would sell better if it was around $150.

Only worked less then 5 months. The oven will not shut off even with the door open. The only way to stop it is by pulling the plug. You don't even have to have the door on it and it will run. There is strong burning smell coming form it. And when I called about it, they said that my 60 days to return it was over. I ask if there was any kind of recall because of this safety issue and I was told no.

I ended up cutting the loin in half. My main problem is that after I shut it off, the was a loud bang. Our corian counter top split. There is so much heat generated they need to issue a warning. The intuitive design almost hits a home run but falls short on the timer implementation. Once the timer expires, there is no auto shutoff with only a buzzer sounding. I received my Air Fryer Oven Elite and found I was missing the basket handle and the air fryer diffuser. I called customer service. The guy said I would have to return it at my expense. I called again. The guy said they would ship the handle but the air diffuser was optional, and I would have to purchase it separately. I asked how much it cost. He told me it was out of stock and had no idea when it would be available, no price quoted. All I want is what was promised me when I ordered. For $199.00 it should have everything. I hate companies that show one thing and then they don’t deliver the goods. Shame on you Tristar Products. How about sending me all the missing parts?

Hi Helen–I would try oiling the basket of the fryer but brush it with regular oil and don’t use Pam. I didn’t have to do this with this chicken, but a good method for getting breading to stick to whatever you’re cooking is to make sure that the flour is almost like paste–which should happen here because of the buttermilk soak, but if you refrigerate the breaded pieces for about an hour, the breading will adhere. This is messy, I won’t lie, but it does work. Only other thing I can think of is you may have crowded the basket. Many people swear by the parchment rounds they sell to line the fryer basket. I bought them off Amazon but to be honest, I find them more trouble than they’re worth, but your mileage may vary.
Bought oven in June of this year, used about 4-5 times. Cooking French Fries on the french fry timer and the inside glass on the door shattered. Contacted Seller only to be treated like I did something wrong. Sent me a postage paid return label and I had to box up and take it to Fed Ex to return. Now they want me to sign a Release Form that basically relinquishes them for any wrong doings for the old oven as well as the new oven before they will send me a new oven that I already paid for. Totally Ridiculous! One step away from calling Better Business Bureau.
