My husband made this tonight and followed the directions to the tee. When I bit into my piece, the chicken was grossly undercooked. I then checked the internal temp with an instant food thermometer and the temp was only 118 degrees. Chicken needs to be 165. Quite a food safety hazard. I would recommend checking the internal temp of the chicken and I would suggest you add that to the written recipe. When fully cooked it was delicious.
The bottom of the Airfryer XL cooking chamber has fan-shaped grooves meant to distribute the airflow evenly. Our tests indicate that the design works – at least the food tests. Our temperature testing highlighted pretty big gaps in the temperature from one side to the other, but we were only testing surface temperatures, not the temperature of circulating air during the cooking process. Judging by the universal crispiness of every wing and french fry, this one does a practically perfect job of moving the air into every corner of the interior.
While the Krups Fry Delight won’t give you quite as crunchy results as the Philips, it also won’t empty your bank account. I love love love this airfryer first thing I cooked in it was a pork tenderloin roast 25 minutes it came out crispy on the outside and pink and juicy on the inside also cooked a t-bone steak, tilapia and wings everything comes out great would recommend this for anybody that's trying to cut fat from their diet or just wants something that cooks fast and good and doesn't heat the place up..

However; the lack of accessories, such as pans or racks makes certain foods tricky to cook, and the grated basket, while great for draining oil, can be a bit of a pain when marinating or using liquid ingredients. In our testing, it didn’t cook food as good as the Phillips XL or Black and Decker air fryers and this was especially the case when it came to fish. We cooked 3 pieces of salmon fillets and noticed everything was cooked but the sides were not as brown as the top or bottom. Nevertheless, the majority of food came our crispy and was cooked through. For the price, it definitely met our expectations.

As a congenitally blind 65-year old cook, I’ve used all sorts of deep-fat fryers, and even pan fry. However, being a double widower, with no one to impress and cook for, I very rarely deep fry because of the setup and cleanup time. The 9220-28 or TFal seem like good candidates for me. I’ll probably use the timer on my Talking Magic Chef microwave, and can’t use digital beasties sans speech output, so analog is better than good. However, wondering which of the two might have more easily markable dial? Usually either notch outer edge of dial, or if nothing to aim notches at, mark the dials with loc-dots or highmark. Suggestions please?
In a bowl, mix and mash the ingredients for the guacamole WITHOUT the almond flour. Once you have the desired taste, add in the almond flour until it the guacamole is thick, like brownie batter. Add additional tablespoons of almond flour to the batter as needed to make it thick. Be careful not to add too much lime juice as that will make the guacamole wet and loose. Set the bowl in the freezer to harden for 1 – 2 hours until it has hardened.
