“Wow — I love this MultiFry! My first test was to overload it with half-moon-cut potatoes and onion slices for pan-fried potatoes. I was merciless and loaded it up with three pounds of potatoes. Enough for six people. I used about five tablespoons of olive oil and set on four, with the bottom burner on. Forty minutes later, was I ever pleased. Beautiful, crispy bites of potatoes that I could monitor easily through the see-through cover, and the little stir paddle flipped and stirred to perfection while I was busy doing other things, like making ribs in the Instant Pot electric pressure cooker. The egg-shaped Black + Decker 2L Purifry is not all that much smaller in size than other air fryers but has a much smaller basket. B + D only recommends that you cook a half pound of fries or one burger at a time. While it gives good results, it seems like if you’re dedicating so much counter space to an appliance, you should be able to cook enough food for four at once. Plus, the basket didn’t glide in and out easily. Like many, it doesn’t have digital controls so it’s hard to set precisely. But our biggest complaint is that the numbers are so small that we literally needed to use a magnifying glass to set the temperature. Finish available in black and white.
I just made these this evening!   They were amazing!    I used my Air Fryer and I pre-heated the unit as instructed.    I used chicken tenderloins instead of breasts because that is what I had on hand!    They were most and flavorfully.   I served with zucchini pasta.    Definitely making these again and again!     I have loved every recipe I have made from Gina….thank you for creating such tasty and healthy recipes.

Our own testing agrees with other users experience.  We first put in frozen chips and set it to what was recommended in the cookbook.  They came out well cooked and crispy.  Next we threw in some chicken drumsticks – 4 in total – and found the top and bottom to be more brown than the sides.  Note that we were testing the larger 5 L model, but the results can be applied to the smaller capacity version as well.
My husband made this tonight and followed the directions to the tee.  When I bit into my piece, the chicken was grossly undercooked.  I then checked the internal temp with an instant food thermometer and the temp was only 118 degrees.  Chicken needs to be 165.  Quite a food safety hazard.  I would recommend checking the internal temp of the chicken and I would suggest you add that to the written recipe.  When fully cooked it was delicious.

You also have to constantly watch it, and make adjustments to the heat to ensure you’re keeping it at the right level.
